SUNGLASSES: 2010 fashion trends
view all photos
Forms remind us about the past: women’s models take us to the 60-70-ies (collections of C. Dior, Escada, Chanel, Givenchy, Gucci, Tom Ford, Celine, Dsquared), men's models recall us 40-50-ies (Prada, G. Armani, Dunhill, Mercedes Benz). Women’s sunglasses became rounder. Tending to comfort and protection designers created fitting and closing greater face's part sunglasses (collections of Dolce & Gabanna, D & G, Prada Sport, Emporio Armani). Classical gamma dominates the sunglasses colors: black, gray, all shades of brown, dark red tones. White color is very popular especially in contrasting trimming.
Sunglasses of cellulose acetate are still leading, although metal models are also available (collection of Roberto Cavalli). Combinations of metal and plastics are extremely topical, however wood and leather valuable species are also used (collections of Tom Ford, Kiton, Cartier, Ermenegildo Zegna).
Trimming became more dynamic and less romantic. Even crystals no longer create flower arrangements but form rigid geometrical ornaments (collections of Chopard, Bvlgari, Swarovski). There are a lot of applications of metal and rivets and some original designs and prints are also present (collections of Jean Paul Gaultter).
