Postolit jewelry shop presents the collection of jewelry with unique Ural emeralds and diamonds made by Russian Diamond House. The interesting fact about this collection is that all emeralds used in the articles were obtained in the 70s of the last century in the Malyshevsky deposit in the Urals. They had not been refined and were acquired from the storeroom of the State Depository of Precious Metals of the Russian Federation.
The combination of the principles of the Russian classical school and modern technologies produces real masterpieces of jewelry art.
Emerald is the name that mineralogists use for a kind of beryl colored forest green by chromium oxide. Transparent and bright emerald crystals can be found rarely, and their best specimens are valued higher than diamonds. According to A. Ye. Fersman classification, the emerald is a precious stone of the first order that includes diamond, ruby, sapphire, chrysoberyl, noble spinel and euclase.
Since ancient times the emerald has been both the decoration and the talisman. It embodied spring and youth, fertility and life. The emerald history is one of the oldest ones. The very first evidence on emeralds date back to the times of Ancient Egypt.
