Vitaly Petrov, first Russian Formula 1 pilot, arrived to Moscow to show all his fans some professional laps on the capital’s streets in July, the 18th.

The Renault F1 Team took to Russia triple racing machine to participate in the Moscow City Racing show and gave Vitaly the first opportunity to drive in his native country. Two people were afforded a unique opportunity to feel the full power of Formula 1 car.

Laps were 4,5 km in length around the Kremlin, from Vasilyevsky Spusk, the Kremlin embankment, Mokhovaya Street to Okhotny ryad. Russian fans could see the F1 car and hear the amazing sound of its engine from many stands along the route.

Vitaly Petrov scheduled a rich program some days before the show. On Friday, July, the 16th, he took part in the competitions to cook sushi at Bridgestone party, and one day later, on July, the 17th, he autographed in the Trading House GUM where that lucky guy who sat in F1 car was known.
On Saturday evening, representatives of the mass media could compete with Vitaly at the Volgograd avenue karting. On Monday, July, the 19th, Petrov visited AvtoVAZ headquarters in Togliatti.

Moscow City Racing show is the third Renault F1 Team’s arrival to Russia. In 2005, the team first traveled to Moscow and also drove some laps on the city streets, but last year they did the same thing in Sochi.
These arrangements have a simple philosophy: making sport closer to the fans, giving them a chance to see the world’s fastest machine in the ambience full of freedom and friendship.
