47 years after Christian Dior's fashion show in 1959 in Moscow, Dior opens its 340 m flagship in a unique location, in the heart of the city, the beautifully renovated Gum. The store located at the corner of the Gum, on two floors, faces the Red Square. The interior design takes its inspiration from the original concept of the Paris Flagship, avenue Montaigne. It keeping the 18th century elements and mixing them with modern elements to achieve a feminine and glamorous design, harmonizing the traditional and modern elegance of Dior
The classical herringbone wood floors, the limestone completed with lush grey zibeline carpets, the oval chairs and Louis XVI sofas give the feeling of a traditional French apartment.
The first thing that greets the eye, entering from the Red Square is an imposing LED screen, showing the newest collection, surrounded by the world of leathergoods displayed in sleek modern glass displays. All the bags will be displayed from the iconic Lady Dior bag, to the classical Cannage, the famous Gaucho and the latest creation of the house the My Dior.
Following the path, with traditional moldings, one is drawn by the stairs, inspired by the 30, avenue Montaigne grand staircase, with its white paneled walls, mixed with a hype version of the Dior cannage pattern, in polished and brushed stainless steel.
On arriving to the upper floor, one is welcomed by the intimacy and warmth of the shoe area, and by the view towards the spectacular Ready to wear room.
Once entering the ready to wear room, with its 5 m ceiling and grandiose moldings, you really understand what a Couture house stands for. From all sides of the room you are surrounded by the wonderful world of the gowns, the furs, the evening dresses that makes Dior and its creator, John Galliano, so unique. You will also be breathtaken by the spectacular view on the Red Square.
Once you leave this room, the jewelry space is a tribute to the Couture Spirit of Dior's fashion house and to the whimsical atmosphere of the 8th Place Vendфme in Paris, a white jewelry box, pearl Grey and panther patterns.
This room unveils the collections created by Victoire de Castellane, displayed in the dreamy space, inspiring the fairy-tale world. Displayed as many small characters, a miniature replica of the grand salon of avenue Montaigne, the rings, earrings and bracelets wait patiently in their medallion chairs to be chosen.
