The main skating rink of the country was opened in the first days of winter and will endure until spring. Everyone who wishes may come on the central square of the country, rent the skates and get an unforgettable pleasure of skating near the walls of the Kremlin and GUM. The skating rink on the Red Square is a unique project of GUM, which seemed absolutely impossible few weeks ago. Now Moscow ranked on a par with such cities as New York or Paris, where the city-dwellers and guests can skate in the center of beloved city. The symbol of Moscow, the symbol of Russia is becoming kinder, more humane, more accessible. From morning until the late evening, everyone who wishes can skate, or visit a match of hockey stars, or come to admire the performance of favorite figure skaters.
There is enough space on the skating rink near GUM to allow more than 500 people to skate there at a time, without interfering with each other. The area of 2,700 m2 allows to carry out not only hockey matches and demonstration performances of figure skaters of the highest level, but also the competitions in practically all ice kinds of sport. Around the ice field a little town is built, where you can find a place to rest after an active sport.
Despite the magnificence of the sight on the Red Square, in spite of the tremendous quality of ice, on which can perform the skaters of world level, in spite of the quality of service and uniqueness of this project of GUM, the prices for tickets and rent are made accessible. This is a skating rink for everyone, because it is built in the heart of our city, in the heart of our country. It is accessible, like as the ice should be accessible in winter.
